The contents of this unit are very much related to everyday life. Almost everything we do at home, work or in school, involves the uses of electricity. Electricity provides energy to make appliances function. We should know the sources of electricity, simple electric circuits, the differences between a parallel circuit and a series circuit. We should also understand the danger of mishandling electrical appliances and know the safety precautions to be taken to avoid it.
